Got mine this morning, super fast shipping. VERY nice piece, everything looks and fits really nice. Thanks again. And yes it does clear everything fine with the Hydroboost also.
|
Thanks Vince
BIG thanks to Vince for researching and finding a solution to the LS7 application and also sourcing the parts for me !! Gotta love vendors like this ...
And thanks NYCITI, good to hear about the hydroboost clearing. Just an FYI to all, Jim from Hydratech was awesome to deal with yesterday as well, he spent a good 1/2 hour going over the specifics of my application ... great guy Thanks again Vince Steve |

Thanks for all the effort and obviously a great product. Would you please expand on the combo using an American Autowire fuse panel? You said this would be a great opportunity to move the bulkhead over half an inch, I have a 66 Chevelle, and according to American Autowire they send a paper template that they want you to expand the firewall opening to fit the new fuse panel bulkhead. http://www.americanautowire.com/PDFL...late%205.0.pdf will the American autowire panel clear the pedal and master cylinder bracket you make? |

Yes, they fit together just fine. The bracket fits just below it. The another kit that we removed runs right into the flasher unit. You can see the old hole to the right. the shaft goes where the red circle is and thats the AAW template. |
Hey Vince,
Is it odd that Scott had to do a tab on the clutch arm? It's a stock 73 clutch pedal assembly. Also, what issues will I run into with an American Autowire kit for a 73 Camaro? https://lateral-g.net/forums/atta...1&d=1416620828 I love how this looks, was nice to get a complete kit for my TR6060 and know it will all work together. |

I have several different length adjuster rods...looks like the short was put in the kit. Im not sure how that will effect the ratio...might increase it. I'll do some math in the AM. Let me know if there are any issues with it. I can send you the 4 inch bar. That should put the heim above the existing arm hole. It clears just fine with the AAW box on our test car. |

Yeah, its @ 2.66:1 thats gonna be tough....Shoot me his address and i'll ship out the 4" bar ASAP. That should be better on your leg. Ive run into a few funny holes where we had to weld up the hole and redrilled it. |
I'm running ls3, tko600, ls7 clutch kit.. Gm621 aluminum bell housing.. Would this setup works with your kit.. Any issues? Just want to make sure before ordering it.. Thanks

If you go with the full kit the slave that fits the TKO600 has shims to get the right placement match the clutch face. Flywheel choice MAY be a problem. |

You can search the NFW-1050 part number for applications then search for a performance version. Fidanza or Hays both have AL versions. |

I'll get one out in the AM. Thanks. Vince |
Also interested in parts or a kit for my 69 Camaro. Sent you a message thru your e-store. If I went with Item #: MSP-BCBPKIT69, what reservoir does it come with? Then I would just need the GM LS FBody style slave and AN line and a speedbleeder?
LS3, built 98-02 FBody T56, Quicktime RM-8020 bellhousing, most likely a monster stage 2 clutch, and the 28lb steel flywheel (RAM, I think). Matter if I run manual brakes w/o a booster? Want to add Hydraboost later on.. Thanks a ton. |

I was just replying to your email. It will work just fine with a Hydratech boost unit. We made a few revisions to work with their bracket. Correct, QT bell 8020 can use the F body slave/actuator. The master cylinder kit comes with a few choices of reservoirs. No problem, this is why I put the kits out, so guys can piece them together if they wish. Let me know if you need anything else. |
Anyone install theirs yet? Does it sit flush on your firewall?

There is a slight kick out at the bottom where the master cyl mounts that is not flush to the firewall but besides that it is flush. Once the brake master is bolted up its really hard to tell its not flush. I am very happy with mine and would not hesitate to to use it again.

The gap and pretty small and I was not too worried about sealing it but I did get this seam from a buddy and I was going to try to use it.
|
Mine kicks out a little bit, not much.
https://lateral-g.net/forums/atta...1&d=1417490039 I would like one of those boots though. |
Gents, what year and model are these cars?

Mine is a 69 Camaro. I dont think there is a way to make it perfectly flat without cutting into the firewall. You can see the hump in the picture I posted.

Got it. |

Source please. on the cars that we have installed these on I cut out a slot in the factory block off plate for the shaft to fit through. Very small hole. And a bead of RTV around the bracket. |
I have not confirmed it will work yet but I think it will. Its the clutch boot off a Cj7 Jeep.

Those will work great....drill a hole and face the donger towards the pedal. |
Yeah it will fit inside for sure. A buddy was working on a old CJ7 that didnt look like it had a top on it in the last 30 years so the last thing he was worried about was the firewall being sealed. I saw it sitting there and he gave it to me so I figured I would give it a shot.
Overall I am very pleased with the bracket. Looks great and doesnt have any flex. |
I was wondering if you had to make any modifications to the pedal on a 71 Chevelle. I want to pick up a set of pedals that is from a member here in the for sale section and the pushrod mount is moved up a little bit and I want to use your setup with the pedals. I am concerned that the pedal will not work with the pushrod bracket modified and moved up. In his pictures it looks to be around a 1/2inch. I understand that you can't give me a straight answer, just looking for some direction. Thanks.
