A few more pics for today. You can see how the inside of the door jamb is now finished with the channel being flushed out and smooth now. Gives it a much cleaner look.

Can't wait to see it, man you guys do great work.

The truck is in between a few other projects so getting a decent side shot is tough until I can roll it forward. Here's a couple shots of the bed on though.
It's still in pieces. We had to take at all apart in order to raise the floor up and still preserve the stock wheel wells. Rather than make new ones, we'll widen the stock ones so it has a somewhat factory look. Just for reference, the wheels that are on there are just for mock up. The new ones will have the correct backspacing and width so they sit a lot further out. THe ones on there now look silly... http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps529859f5.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps454aeb7b.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps56da6d50.jpg |
Looking good! Are y'all shaving the stake pockets too?
|
The stake pockets will be shaved on the bed

Working on the bed now. I'll shoot a few pics of the modded factory tubs as soon as they're finished.

Amazing work.

Man, this flu has kicked my butt. I come back, and all the wheel well openings are a lot higher that they were when I left, LOL..
Here's a few pics. http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps185594fc.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps31ed1ecf.jpg |

You guys are doing a killer job on this truck, can't wait to Columbus when it will be seen for the first time.
Goodguys is also doing a tour to TX the end so September and it looks like I will be driving this very truck on that tour! Come join the fun of driving your ride along with me and 50 other cool rides. :mock: Goodguy Ed. |
Starting to look more like a truck now. I really like the headlight choice.

Here's a bit better view of the wheel tucked. Mind you, the back is up off the ground, but this is pretty close to the correct tuck.
http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps05644d9b.jpg Here's Wilwood's new caliper. This ( I believe) is the style that will replace the W4A and W6A calipers. I love the grey... http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps94a0ea9a.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps477f4554.jpg |
Looking good....love the salt flat style wheels.

I have a bunch more I'll upload in the a.m. Enjoy http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps9cceca2e.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps5f5d7c5b.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps16238709.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps8b9adc6d.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...psced7d55f.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps04c6592a.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...psbee4764e.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...psa91a1958.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps1bb1fc13.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...psfd3899ee.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps5c4a799e.jpg |

Since the rockers and the bed bottoms were all moved, there was a lot of work on all the bed details. Here's a few pics.
Here is before: http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps3ea20e3e.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps75e735c4.jpg and after: http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...pscae2724b.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...psf840a8b1.jpg |

The taillights from Marquez showed up on Friday and we were anxious to get them in. They look great, just took a bit of work to get them in. It was easier to make a filler panel and then re-cut the opening to get the gaps right. In the end though, they're a sweet taillight bezel. The led's aren't here yet, but I'll post some pics when they get in.
http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps3c64593f.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps9c0c6f57.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...psf22f650b.jpg We also made a filler panel to take up the gap in the bed and tailgate. The panel unbolts so the tailgate can be removed. It's a little detail that won't really be seen, but it creates a nice look, so it's worth doing. http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps921e8016.jpg |
The winner will be thrilled for sure.
|
BAD ASS for sure!!! Did I miss on how to enter to win it???

The interior is starting to be put back together.
We removed all of the inner sheet metal part sin order to make sure there was zero rust hiding. Good thing we did too, because there was a ton. Now it's time for it to all be put back in, as well as a new trans and driveshaft tunnel. http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps8eedebf5.jpg Because the corner pillars were pied, there's going to be just a tab bit of massaging to get the inner panel to line back up. Not much though. http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...psec408ca1.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...psa7acb2db.jpg Since this truck sits so low, the trans and driveshaft tunnel are going to be more car like, than truck like. http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...psc87ebfc5.jpg We also wanted to make sure there was plenty of room around the trans to work on it. We all assume the winner of this truck is going to drive it likes it's meant to be, so at some point, it'll need some kind of service. Nothing worse that trying work on a show vehicle that's not built to be worked on. There's ample hand room in there. http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...psba50bc47.jpg |
Amazing fabrication! You've taken C10's to a whole new level. With the roof modifications, I guess you have to have the door glass custom made?

Since the truck is getting pulled apart at this stage for paint and what not, The guys rolled it outside. This was the last time for me to see the truck or take any pics of it in bare metal.
The final ride height is still not set, but it's pretty close at this point. Just a little bit of leveling and setting the stance now. http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps551b3891.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps64cb8b59.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...psec183455.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps186a0f93.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps8ebc6779.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...psac606843.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps5eccc127.jpg |
