The hood is finished and painted a satin black until I can have the whole car painted. It may get louvers, a screen or stay open where the air travels up and over the hood. Testing will help determine that in the future. I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Outstanding! :bigun2:
Keep truckin. |
That is mean looking!
Very nice. |
x2. It has a very wicked, all business look to it. I dig it. I still dig the groovy current paint scheme too :thankyou:

Not quite as 'exciting' as the hood but still another piece of my puzzle is the trunk lid. The old steel lid had to have the latch cut out, and the spoiler was molded in and starting to separate from the steel. I opted to go all glass and have the spoiler built in to the lid again.

Lovin' it

Is the trunk lid custom made like the hood or an aftermarket piece? I've seen the aftermarket ones and have thought about using one for my build eventually. Just not sure of the quality etc.
Thanks. |

This is what the hood looked like when I got it, but the pic was taken off the glasstek website. http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps0dbdc931.jpg |
Thanks for the feedback.

Just finished installing a new shifter a few days ago. I really needed to have a ratchet shifter to make the car work the way I want. The old (but still new) TCI is more of a gated type. Too easy to skip a gear on a downshift. The shift lever on the transmission had to be custom made to clear everything but it works perfectly.
