I needed you TODAY!!

So when something weighs like 1800 pounds -- one guy can't budge it even if it's on dollies... and the lift is on TWO dollies and it just seems to always be in the way...

So -- WTF!! One way to get it out of my way! Set it up! First I had to drag it into position using the truck. LOL

http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...g/IMG_5912.jpg

Then you bust out the 24' ladder so you can hump a chain to the rafters.... 12' chain goes up first - then go back down and get the 20' chain hoist - and hump that up and hang it...

http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...g/IMG_5913.jpg

Then you start yarding chain! One thing I learned from the last time I did this - and gouged the floors --- I put a small dolly under the dragging end -- keeps it from digging up the concrete!

http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...g/IMG_5914.jpg

Then you have to anchor it and plumb it TWO ways... then put the top on which is another hoist job...

Then repeat the process!

Once everything is plumb and blah blah blah --- now you can start with the Red Head anchors -- drilling 3/4" X 7" holes in the concrete. So much fun!!

But the old dude FTW!

And have the fore thought to paint the steel in the building to match the lift!

That's the only reason I bought the building - because of the matching colors.....

Jeff-

Well ---- I looked around --- and I didn't see anyone with their hand up. And it won't get done unless the old man gets his sorry butt busy.

So here's the way I played it today. I woke up around 6AM -- while making coffee... I decided that I should make Creamy Scalloped ham and potatoes... so made that (yes from scratch - this ain't hard to do with like 5 ingredients) and baked it while enjoying the sun peaking over the mountains. That way -- since Gwen is in Seattle -- and I have no Stella (dog) and it's just me -- I could work as long as I wanted and know at the end of the day I was going to eat like a pig. DONE.

Right now though - I can barely muster the energy to pick up the TV controller.
