For sure outside the Box, and for that a score of 10 . .. .

I like it! I knew I'd like those wheels when I saw a picture of them. I'd roll them!

I just don't have the theme for them yet. But I'll keep you guys in mind!

Ya, he digs the "murdered out" theme.

Thanks for the compliments, and the encouragement... I knew it wouldn't be fore everybody, but at the end of the day, it's in MY garage.

Chris, looking forward to the hinges, and thank you also for the encouragement.
I totally agree. Jason and I haven't talked about the trim, but I agree that it might look better de-chromed.

Jon-

As you may know I am building a 55 as well and trying to be different. Much like yourself I am fortunate and good friends with a designer. Jason knows him. He is all about pushing the envelope and very aggressive in his designs. He has tossed me countless ideas - and some of them are out there for most, but killer IMO. I plan on doing quite a few - but some I just can't afford, have the talent to pull it off or the time for that matter.

Below is a quote from him in an email he sent me - which I read quite often to keep me on track.

"YOU NEED UNDERSTAND SOMETHING,,,,,

YOUR DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT,,,,MOST YOUR FRIENDS WILL NOT UNDERSTAND,,,,,THAT MEANS YOUR ON THE RIGHT TRACK!!

DO NOT ASK YOUR FRIENDS FOR THEIR OPINION.

TAKE SOME RISKS,,,,ROLL THE DICE WITH ME,,,

THIS CAR HAS A SERIOUS CHANCE AT BEING JUST ANOTHER TRI-5

WHO CARES!!!!!

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY,,,,,"

I say roll forward with it. Jason has some killer ideas. Designers are always a step ahead of most it seems. You know the old saying also.

"No risk...No reward"

Good luck on the project-
Brent

It IS meant to offend the status quo....

Go big or go home!

I am liking the look

I know these guys are your competition, but check out their web site. Give it a few seconds to load and it will scroll through some cars they have done with the lip painted to match the car. The Atomic Orange Z06 is a stunner!

www.360forged.com

If my car was not yellow, I would consider doing the wheel lips the same color as the car. I think it would look good with a black lip, red stripe and charcoal center.

I love tri-fives but I usualy walk right on by at car shows because I've seen so many. You do something like this and I'll surely look up down and all around.

You can't get by with looking like everyone else anymore.

This hobby is far to piblicised to just do another car and expect to draw attension.
