Default DriverzInc... New 55 Driver!

Hi everyone,

About two weeks ago, I picked up a 55 Chevy. Plans are still in the air on this one, but I'm leaning towards two tone, with Lexus Pearl white top and trunk. Definitely going to run some big wheels, thinking 19/20 Rushforth Rated X in flat black and polished lip with hardware delete, and an interior to match the two tone. Car already has black leather, so I'm thinking perforated white leather inserts in the seats, and in the doors.

Motor is a 406, with all the flamed billet goodies, straight out of 1995. I will be completely changing the entire look of the engine bay in the next few weeks. Motor runs like a bat out of hell though...
Trans is a well built TH400, so I'm debating Gear Vendors, or a whole new 700r4.

So far, I've already ordered Baer Brakes for all four corners, and the new CPP master cylinder with the integrated prop valve. I am also ordering a custom, shortened Fab9 Rear housing from Chassisworks. The rear leafs have already been relocated inboard, so there is a tone of room for the 305/35/20 Nitto 555r I have to tuck up in there.

Some of the trim is definitely coming off, especially the lower rocker trim. (Yuck).

As soon as Jason Rushforth has finished the rendering, I'll post it up, and will continue to update you all with pictures as we move along... hope you all like it.

I'll post a picture tomorrow of the engine bay... it's pretty billy bad ass with all chromed, flamed billet goodies. I plan on a Johnson's air cleaner, and some finned aluminum valve covers. Probably all in brushed or mat black, or some combo of the two.

Steering wheel is actually pretty cool, it's a cut down stocker. Looks sweet!

Default 55-56 Fesler Billet Hinges

Hey Guys,

Nice addition Jon, I have the new Fesler Billet Hood hinges for this car that have been shipping for weeks now. They are sick and really clean the engine bay up or look at the pictures to see for your self.

Let me know what you think Jon they would really look sharp on this car and we have about 4 other models out very soon.

Check out the 67-72 Chevy truck hinge should be shipping anytime

Wow... nice catch !
Makes a ton of sense buying one already done and then changing it up for your own personal taste....
I wonder what keeping it all black and just adding the black rated X's would look like

Bitchin' car indeed but 55s are far from heavy. They just look big because of the shoebox bodystyle but I wouldn't be surpriesed if it was lighter than your Camaro, Justin and they even have a full frame!

I'll have it drawn up next week to see how it looks rollin' on Rushforths!
