I'm not one of those lucky guys when it comes to hoping for the best. I'd grenade my **** the first time out. :rofl: I plan on running it regularly so I'll make sure it's set up properly first. I've heard the small air oil coolers are extremely innefficient. I'm still considering a dual pass radiator with the cooler built in....

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say its overkill, but then again, so is most of your car, in a good way :thumbsup:

If you are only looking at 3 inputs, then stick with guages and find a different type of data logging device. There are several out there that are very reasonable.

IQ3 is what we will be using. It is not that much more expensive than a full set of Autometers if you are running EFI with the right ECM you can datalog from and don;t have to buy a bunch of senders. They are not cheap.

Read up on the information in the link I directed you too in my last post. There are infinite capabilities for keeping it on the cheap... or going to a full blown EFI (E38, Bigstuff, MEFI etc etc) with data-logging capabilities. The IQ3 is a no brainier for me.... as I was in your exact situation dealing with the idea of $3000 for the required Autometer components to suit my needs... or $1495 for the IQ3 which exceeds the basic needs AND having 32 channels of DA, GPS speed, GPS track mapping and a 3 axis accelerometer for doing advanced development of spring and damper packaging. But... I am also going EFI... so there are inherent capabilities with that as well.

Now I pretty much get the same DA and instrumentation with the IQ3 as I would have with the $3000 in Autometer and the other $7000 in the Advantage Motorsports Data Acquisition system to meet the same requirements. Oh yeah... and it plugs right into the E38 ECU and CANBUS I/O structure.
