http://www.034motorsport.com/oscthum..._Catch_Can.jpg Like these guys are saying, too much suck, not enough venting. But you said it goes away when you remove the hose? Maybe you need a larger inlet and hose. Sound might be coming from the can. If you can get a mechanics stethescope with a tube end to pin point the sound. Or just stick a hose in your ear. |
Since my cap is tucked away back behind the coil and next to the fire wall it seems like making a breather would be the simple solution. Making a breather out of the cap with a little K/N.

Here's all you need to do ------ fire it up --- see if it makes the noise -- when it starts -- open your oil fill.... $100 says it goes away and you hear a sucking noise when you open the oil fill.
Put a breather in "SOMEWHERE" and problem solved. |

The bird is done squealing!
Thanks you guys for the help. Put a breather on the filler cap and now my motor sounds like it should! I'll take some picks when I get the final install complete. Just waiting for some -AN fittings and CF K&N breather from Summit.

You are da Man!
Good to hear. Or in your case -- not hear! |

Now my valve cover leaks on the drivers side!!!
Some times its hard to win and feeling that way now.:censored: :censored: I have those carbon fiber valve covers and now my drivers side leaks oil. I don't think it leaked before because there was vacume when it wasn't vented. Now that its vented the darn thing leaks. Replaced the gasket and it still leaks:( .
