Thanks Jody

Yeah, it's a very cool video.

It's on our magazine here in the video and news feed sections.

It's on our Instagram page here

It's on our Facebook page here

And it's even up at the top of all the forum pages as a thumbnail link to the video. Tony Huntimer caught that for us, I think it was the video of the day!

Greg, while I'm waiting for Sieg's explosion of awesome pics, I can take the opportunity to thank you for the barbecue--thank you! I only wish I had more of an appetite on Saturday--my wife usually beats me in this area. You make a mean weenie!

A good many of us ate it on that last right hander. What's weird is that you couldn't really judge how off-camber it was unless you were on the other side of the fence. I wiped out pretty good on one of my laps, and only came about two feet from killing some kind of electrical device that had been positioned "safely" outside the cones. Smitty's smoke show definitely left a more impressive mark, however . . . my wife's still complaining about his sound output.

Guys, don't forget that they are tolerating us . . .

Good to see you Paul! Glad you came out and did the whole USCA thing --- and ate a weenie....

I was happy no cones were hurt in the spin. I got caught by the sound gun on Sunday I guess 119db is to much.

JerrDawgy --- My "race cars" don't qualify for the USCA events.... no VINS - No license plates - no headlights - no wipers - no windows - and best of all they run Hoosiers!!

I would NEVER run my hot rods -- because they're just that... hot rods - not suitable for anything much over 60 MPH and corners that can be taken at 10 MPH.

I go to see my friends and to be Smitty's tool box. And just generally to SUPPORT a great organization.

Oh yeah!! I forgot.... and to salvage parts off my Mustang so Maier could finish the weekend. Short story - he developed a leaky carb... and I had a race car just sitting there with - a non leaking carb.... we swapped.... a little jet management.... and off he went!! LOL.... race weekends are pretty much like that!!

GOTCHA.. I really don't know much about USCA..I thought maybe Sieg boycotted taking pics of you.. ;).. Yup I know all about robbing parts from one car to another to go rounds..very cool of you :hello:

Maybe next year they can add a session for those of us with non conforming cars. Not to compete, just to run.

SSLance 03-06-2015 08:59 PM

Isn't that what the EC class is for?

If you were too loud what about the Dodge Conquest!!!

I was there Saturday and was bummed I couldn't be there on Sunday. i really wanted to watch them run on the big track. It was good to meet Jake, Sieg, Jody and talk with a few of the other drivers. Had a good time.

And you didn't come over to say hi!! WTF!!

It was a good weekend.... too bad many folks fail to make the trip and therefore fail to see just how much fun they could have had.

Sieg 03-08-2015 10:32 AM

I caught a couple cars that were having a hard time making it to the box, well to be fair, the Chevelle made it....right out the end!

Having WORKED at OUSCI at the stopping end of those runs ---- trust me when I tell ya --- you'd better not be napping!! They're hitting so serious speeds coming at you -- and then some guys get all crossed up and you're just hoping they can control the car! LOL

It's fun as hell.... but you'd better be able to move out of the way too!

DBasher 03-08-2015 11:34 AM

I'm not a camaro fan but this one had the right stance, color, wheels...it just looked good!

And the big girl.

Basher --- the Camaro was built by Rich Burmea at Road Touring Customs. The driver -- super nice guy -- is a total newbie. He had so much fun he couldn't stand it. He had the car at Laguna Seca last year -- and this year he pushed it a little more.

First met them Friday night in the hotel parking lot, Rich reminds me of my cousins in Colusa, down for whatever and always having a good time! Those guys were fun to hang out with and always smiling...well, Rich did put on a good face when the Chevelle smoked the box on the speed stop.
