Wow that difference is huge in those arms! And that frame just looks awesome in that epoxy red.

Great job

It is nice to come into a post that has been going on for some time and see the progress you have made.
What a great job it looks like you have done. The Hogan intake gives me wood....

Brimstone
I saw your Chevelle at Good Guys Scottsdale. I took a ton of pictures. I thought someone would come over and introduce themselves and tell me about the car but no such luck.
I hope my 67 sits as low as yours...

Mick

I did not know that the difference was that big, now I'm very happy I decided to go for coilovers :)

The frame will be topped with a black polyurethane paint...The Moser 9" will get the same treatment.

Chassimounts & Ford Moser 9"

I've been quite busy the last weeks and haven't had time to work on the project as much as I wanted too :-(

Some of the chassimounts were rusted and the steel was very thin around the holes. I decided to cut out the old steel and weld in new fresh material.

Parts from NPD arrived a two weeks ago with new hood, inner/outer fenders, rear wheelhousings and trunk lid. I have new quarterpanels and doors ready :-) Hopefully I will get some work done on the body within the next weeks. I must say I'm very curious if the sheetmetal fits OK... Time will show!

The Moser Ford 9" axle comes in bare-steel finish, so I have put on some epoxy on it. I've decided to paint the chassi and rearaxle AFTER we are finished with the bodywork.

Tubing size

Back from the dead...but

I'd like to do something similar to my chassis on my 71 chevelle. Does anyone happen to know what type of tubing is suggested? DOM? ERW?

And roughly what size tubing would you think he used?

Thanks,
Kyle:thumbsup:
