The car looks great. I love the 66-67 chevelles.

Congrats on the new family addition! I hope the delivery is easy and painless. I have two boys and can hardly believe its been 13 years since my first was born.

I'll let you know you said that! lol I don't envy her right now. looks uncomfortable. God I'm thankful I'm a stand up pee-er. lol

looks like the 502 will be coming home this week too. Could be time for some motor pics. Trying to find a small, streetable cam for that thing. I don't need it to make huge HP numbers, just make vacuum and have a hot roddy sound. I also don't want a ton of valvespring pressure either. I keep going back to the ZZ502 cam. 230 ish duration and small 527 or so lift. might work well.

my daughter just turned 14, with a full weekend of competition cheering!!! yea!!!

Dave, car and wife look great!!!

Many of you don' t know but I have a project or 2 but I rarely get time to work on them, way too busy, damn! thats why I have no build threads,

Finished the 502 shortblock today. Went together very easily though 502 Gen 6 blocks have some funky details you really have to watch. I decided on the zz502 cam because its a cruiser and I wanna keep it within the Atomic EFI's base paramiters if I can.

Time to start overhauling these monsters. They are the 088s that 502HOs come with. Its a weird head in that the runners and chambers are fairly large and solid flowing, but GM equipped them with a crappy spring package and a lame valvetrain setup. I'll be tanking them a light milling, drilling the studs for 7/16, ARP stud and guideplates install, mill the spring pockets for real man springs, and a valve job. After that they should be a set of bad ass heads. Pretty ugly now though.

Been sanding on this intake for the motor as well. Sanding before powdercoating lets the powder lay really flat and crisp. Almost looks like velvet if done right. I feel lie a crack head out there though. lol This job sucks.

Thanks man. I finally finished the stupid intae today and got it primed and painted. Looks like a moulded piece of plastic now. I like it, but I"d never do that again.

Here it iswith the drive fitted and mocked up. Heads should be done by Wednesday and I'll be able to wrap it all up. Just in time to stare at it waiting for a painted body. lol

Tip on the intake. Just have it sandblasted and prime it right way. Sand the primer. Much easier and doesn't make you go crazy. Make sure you lay that primer real nice so you don't have to sand in tiny crevices a whole lot.
