We'll revisit this later....I have a feeling it'll be like the oak cabinets, LOL!

clill 06-03-2014 08:56 PM

You can do a 4 post lift with ramps to drive a car off the lift onto the mezzanine. Just make the railing removable. Then you can sit in your car up there and stare and the crappy concrete floor down below.:D

Un-Uh.......it's just starting to get good!

96z28ss 06-04-2014 12:05 PM

I'm surprised Charlie is having a hard time selling the floor.
I think its time Charlie start using the used car salesman tactics.
Look how easy Charlie sold him a mustang and how easily he pushed Greg into a stacker trailer, a back up racecar etc... A polished floor should be a piece of cake to sell Greg.
Step up your game Charlie. Sheesh!

clill 06-04-2014 12:17 PM

You don't think he knows by now he is gonna have to do something to the floor ? Just because he has not admitted it yet, he knows.... Right now he is in the cranky stage. I've done my part...Now it has to ferment...then percolate...

fleetus macmullitz 06-04-2014 12:38 PM

I jes hope it gets done before Mr. Clint Eastwood stops by when he needs a place to store his classic Ferd Torino.

He's 84 now, is persnickety about floors and is reportedly more short-tempered than ever.

 I've been wondering what the hell that thing is too. I've held back on comments though.......Cutting Greg some slack :whistling:

GregWeld 06-05-2014 07:58 AM

It's a portable Barbie BATH.... 'cause I like 'em clean.

It's there - as many things are currently - from one of the workers... they all bring their dogs to work and that's a portable dog bowl.

Sun Valley is super "dog friendly". If you go into a store and leave your dog outside - you get scolded... Everywhere you go people have dog bowls and dog treats... and many have their own dog there at work with them. One store has three generations of Black Labs - the Grandpa - the Dad - and the Grandson in the store every day. Stella loves to stop by on our walks to try to steal their toys.

GregWeld 06-05-2014 08:02 AM

Did you guys notice how nice the floors are.... or were you just looking at the pink Barbie doll stuff - perhaps hoping it was going to turn into a video?

I know Charley must be re-thinking his own floors after seeing how nice these are.

I walked into Evergreen Airlines in Portland, one time and was greeted by the owners dog

Very cool how the place there is dog friendly :walkingdog:

Track Junky 06-05-2014 08:13 AM

Yup. Floors look decent. Appear to have a sheen on them. That would be my biggest concern.......keeping the floors from getting stained from oil.

Let's just say it's more 1950's in attitude towards other people.... nobody is trying to push their personal agenda on the other guy. It's pretty laid back old school America. Guess that's why I feel comfortable there. People just like people and pet their dogs and know their names - and say hi when they meet a stranger in the street...

Seattle has gotten to be a place where it's just everybody scurrying about in a big hurry... nobody says hi - couldn't understand them if they did... it's all about "them" and their Gucci purse...

DBasher 06-05-2014 05:24 PM

I always tell people I don't go to Seattle unless I'm being paid, same goes for Hellevue. Unfortunately I'm downtown in both areas daily, it's not a fun place anymore.

Place is looking sharp! When's the big move?

Dan

Yeah..... I'm not posting that on the internet.

Understood, you know how to get a hold of me if you need help pointing.

You'll have to scroll back for many pics of the BAF....

I really kinda like the Barbie bathtub...

GregWeld 06-06-2014 04:47 PM

Just got my Friday picture updates.... so here goes!

Building is DONE.... Dumpster and sh!tcan are gone... doors painted... yellow protection posts are painted... Yippppeeeeee

http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...g/June6-p2.jpg

http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...g/June6-p6.jpg

Barn door style doors are done and hung - these separate the "nice" area upstairs from the storage area....

http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...g/June6-p3.jpg

And the bathroom is finished -- except it still needs a mirror and some towel bars - but the main stuff is done!

http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...g/June6-p5.jpg

I busted their butts about NOT using white plastic P trap plumbing --- that I wanted STAINLESS STEEL in there --- so of course he had to send me proof!

Yeah - I see why they're called BALL ards... because if you hit one someone is going to kick you there!

Thanks Greg! It's all done quite on the cheap - but it just kinda proves you don't have to get that fancy to have it look "better". It didn't take much to improve on how the poor thing looked!

Left an opening here for Charley to bust my BALL ards about the floors.
