So far I've learned to put air in the tires - and I can change oil and filter..... one of these days I'll get around to figuring out which is the back and which is the front.

Heck yeah, that's pretty good progress Greg! Looks like you just might get it shelled in before winter hits...in a month or so. ;)

It looks like this design is going to fit into the overall landscape much better than rendition one was going to. Nice work.

Thanks Lance! It's considered "weathered in" now... the membrane on the roof is weather tight - and all windows are installed. Still waiting for a "lift and slide" door/window for the great room - and the front door is just a gaping hole - but the porch roof keeps it out of the rain.

Insulation is being sprayed as of yesterday... then they'll "foil" the interior...

All of the exterior choices were chosen to blend in with the hillside surroundings... Stone - barn wood - shakes - roofing etc.

Greg,

Suhweeeeeeet!

I'm guessin' that even Clint will cast admiring glances upward upon 'stately Weld Manor part deux' when it's completed. :unibrow:

Damn, if that doesn't make you sit up and pay attention in Investing 102, nothing will... Beautiful place.

Gwen and I might be one of the few couples that actually enjoy the process. Hope you two do as well. It's only stressful when you build beyond what you can really do.... or don't agree to begin with. Then it's war.

I can see Clint's place from our place, and he'll be looking up, but only because his house is at a different (lower) elevation. LOL

We've been luckier than most Don.... but then, after being lucky.... you also have to learn to be a decent steward of that luck. That and have the First Bank of Lillard behind you!
