Evercoat "Slick Sand""
 

What feedback do ya'll have with Slick Sand ??

I used it with good results, easy to sand and builds nicely. I think I had to use a 2.2 tip to get it to spray. Economical alternative to high build primer. Keep in mind I am a novice so my feedback value is limited.

I also used a 2.2 tip,, it worked fine !! Sands Slick !!! Will definetly use again.. Amazing build and toughness ,,,

I know that this note is too late for the hood on this car but I had the same issue with my hood not matching the curvature of the fenders on my 68 Camaro, too. I tried the bend and twist method first and all it got me was a dented hood.

The advise I got from a restoration guru was to drill out the spot welds along the offending areas then push the sheet metal or hood frame up or down until the curvature matches. The method worked really well for me and was much easier then trying to bend and twist the whole hood. Maybe this will help someone else before he grabs the 4-lb hammer.:willy:

Try Featherfill G2 black, builds same ,sands much easier

The edge off the hood on the Camaro comes down at a 90 and is spot welded to the inner structure where the Nova hood is rolled back under as a door skin is to the inner frame, it would have to be completely removed from the inner support !Hope you understand my lingo ??

Yep. Funny thing is... I have a 65 nova in the garage at my mother's house. It's been so long since I've opened the hood, I couldn't tell you what it looks like. After I finish my '68, the '65 is next. :unibrow:

If it sands easier, I will try it,, I ordered 2gal,, will order the G2 on the final blocks,, can you get it in gray ??Haven't looked yet !! Thanks Roger J

Off the rack & inthe Floor !!
 

Finally it's off the rack, Undercoated then Clearcoated,,Should make it easier to clean,, Had to strip the old Epoxy ?? Found the same problems on the top and deck lid that was on the doors,, spider web streaks of rust!!! Sanded it back to bare metal now the DTM Epoxy,, Now I know what's there !!
