Tip on the intake. Just have it sandblasted and prime it right way. Sand the primer. Much easier and doesn't make you go crazy. Make sure you lay that primer real nice so you don't have to sand in tiny crevices a whole lot.

Damn that's a way better plan than I had lol. Thanks Royal!

Thanks for the note Ron! lol

Finished the 502 last night. Everything went together just peachy. All of the machine work was done by Nathan Gerolamy at Horsepower by Gerolamy in Carmichael. If you're in Sacramento, Nathan is a great option for any engine combo you want. With the .040 gasket, compression ended up being right at 9.8:1 so it should run well in CA swill. Nathan spent a ton of time on these 088 castings makin a decent head out of them. They have a nice 325cc runner and moderate chamber shapes, but GM handicapped them with non adjustable valvetrain, very small spring pockets, and small 3/8 hardware. All of that is fixed now with ARP and Manley gear. Next up is the Atomic EFI for the engine and some color for the body. More to come.

Final prime- Finally. Time for some light blocking in 240 and then some 500. Booth time is approaching faster and faster. That last 10% is 90% of the time, but I want it stupid straight.

That last 10% can feel like an eternity if you've got an itchy lead foot.

Awesome build! Every time I read a 67 Chevelle threads I know why the Lord didn't bless me with GW's wealth. I'd have a whole stable full of the beauties.

Trust me take your time as your going to have plenty of it when the little one comes into your life.

and buy yourself a Little Tikes swing for your garage. Both of my daughters hung out in the garage with me when they were little. It gave mom a break
