Perfect response. |
Different strokes...
For me, this was one of my favorite cars at SEMA. William |

I like the rear bumper, I wish I can do something like that but not a metal shaper. I will try to find a local guy that can do something similar

And back to our scheduled programming....
As part of the front end refresh, we wanted to do something a little different with the windows in the sliding headlight doors. We sourced translucent smoked gray acrylic so the lights could still be seen through and machined the pieces to fit with some fresh styling. https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8602/...707af4f5_b.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8665/...015cebfe_b.jpg Dash finish refresh https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5605/...55460a70_b.jpg[/url] https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7543/...25e8d6f1_b.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7549/...7d6f44c3_b.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7484/...a36b7470_b.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7528/...146012bc_b.jpg |
I really enjoy this car. Its got "a lot" going on BUT its suttle and simple and requires a good look to really grasp all of it. Thats my favorite type of build.
Im realatively new here(maybe i should start an intro thread?) but i think i will just leave a short comment reguarding what has been going on in this thread. To me, a car is nothing other then a reflection of yourself. You have yourself or a shop do what you like to it. Sure shops help with insight and what not but the end result is always the car that you want. Weather that be a sleek simple clean build to something extremely radical or something with goofy colors that maybe only a handful of people will like. Bottom line is that if that customer gets the car of their dreams when its said and done, that is the ONLY person that has to be happy with it. The shops are just here to aid and help in ones dreams. Carry on with the thread. I love the fact you guys show whats under it all. |

Although, I love every aspect of this car from the color to the custom splitter, what very small detail I love the most is the two-toned bumper. I love how the contoured lines of both bumpers splits the black paint from the white paint. That is so cool. To me, that small detail gives the illusion that the front grill and tail are larger than they really are. When in reality, it is just the black paint extends onto the bumpers. :king: :king: |
What do you guys make splitters from? Aluminite, carbon, fiberglass, abs, etc?

Funny, I am an Aerospace engineer and we play with cool hardware all day long. In spite of that there is a certain lack of creativity because every part has to have pedigree and be at least somewhat like the last one we made. There is a little kid-like part of me that would just like to chuck it all and go sweep floors at the Roadster Shop and watch all this happen. Of course that isn't possible but I can dream !!

Big leap of faith from an owner that has all black cars to go white on this one...how does that conversation go? Obviously the right decision, basic white has never looked so good! Love it! |
This Camaro is sick! It's gotta be one of my favorite builds put out by the extremely talented crew at the Roadster Shop. Well done, well done.

I have a question for you guys at RS. Can you built a bumper, quarter patch and back panel patch tout fit the bumper like this one without having the car for customer like me that live far?

I didn't think that there would be something else you could possibly do to 69 that was fresh and impressive. This is my favorite 69 Camaro of all time---I love the front end and the white on black--and of course the stance. It's beautiful. I sure hope the owner appreciates your design and creativity as it is elegant yet aggressive at the same time. Beautiful---and a dream car fulfilled.

gosh, that is beautiful. Show us more!
|
This has to be one of the baddest 69 Camaro's built to date.
|
The white on black theme is simple but effective.

Note to self: Win huge money on the lottery and contact Roadster Shop ASAP!!
Awesome work guys. |
WOW just WOW!!!
So bad azz!!! |
Incredible.
|
I love everything about it. NICE!
|
I generally prefer a more stock looking appearance with Camaros, and honestly when I first saw the pics of the car after the suspension upgrades, before you started bodywork on it, I didn't think it could be improved any further - but you guys did it. This is far and away one of the best 69' Camaro builds I've ever seen.
|
Another work of art!!!
