WOW. What great transformation. Very impressive. That "table" is a "must have" tool if you like building cars.

Yikes - been 2 years since I've posted...... Too much to update and not enough time. I'll just post a few quick thoughts and a couple of pics....
Some of the progress that comes to mind... Tucked and smoothed rear bumper Smoothed front bumper Reworked tail panel for better fitup to billet tail-lights It's all plumbed (brakes, fuel, clutch... Battery cables and bulkheads ran All AC and heater hoses are routed Lower air-dam/splitter (whatever you want to call it) fabbed up Skid plate fabbed Fire Suppression nearly all plumbed Air intake fabbed Engine Bay brace Door bars I'm getting really close to blowing it apart to put on the rotisserie https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/N6...w=w400-h600-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/HS...Q=w600-h400-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/xW...A=w600-h400-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/zK...w=w600-h400-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/em...Q=w477-h358-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Xa...g=w600-h400-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/ca...Q=w600-h400-no |

I'm really pleased with the rear bumper. I stole the idea from DSE (Mark McDonald did the fab work) on Bob Gawlick's Chevy II. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/wp...g=w600-h400-no Cut up another bumper for parts... https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/tE...Q=w600-h400-no Rear bumper took some work on the quarter panels too... Here is how much I took out of the rear bumper - had to modify the bumper brace a bit too. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/u3...w=w400-h600-no Apparently I don't have any pictures of the finished quarter, but this gives you an idea of the recess into the panel. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/RZ...w=w400-h600-no |
Final Test Fit before blowing it all apart...

Onto the rotisserie.......
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/7P...e=w800-h600-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/xk...A=w800-h600-no Finishing up some welds that are easier to get to now...... https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/JD...S=w400-h600-no |
Finally some light at the end of the tunnel! Now don't go changing your plans, haha. Keep at her!

Just in case anyone wondered if I gave up on this project - -I finally have it on the road!
Life has been all sorts of crazy for me since I stared this project, but it is nice to have it on the road and working out the bugs. I haven't been on here in years - it appears that all of my photo links and inserted images are broken - - :( Not sure I'll take the time to fix them https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw...-gm?authuser=0 https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw...-gm?authuser=0 |
