What bushings in DSE 3" drop leafs???
I just notice at my new DSE drop leafs came without bushing at the other end ???????? And other has bushing installed. What is the idea behind it?
Is it front or the shackle side ? And i am useing DSE offset shachkles too. |
I think the side w/o the bushings are the shackle side and the idea behind it is that most will install their own desired bushing, whether poly or Del a Lum.
Most I know run rubber up front and the GW bushings out back. |

No problem. They (DSE) probably assume everyone knows this already.
I have the GW Del A Lum shackle kit if you need it. Brand new for a good price. |
Hotchkis are the same way.

I'm gonna run the old factory style rubber bushings.

I think i have been askind this before but will the leafts only keep rear end from moving side to side when cornering hard? I know panhard bar wont work on lefs but is there anyting else to do? Or is there any need to do anything ?
|
Yes, for the most part.
Some have run a p/h bar with leafs. |

No problem, glad to help.
You may really want to consider the Alston G-Bar setup though. For what you'll have in a leaf spring setup with a watts linkage you can do the g-bar and have more adjustability. I was in the same boat as you a few months agao till I saw the g-bar and talked to Frank at Prodigy. I sold my DSE stuff and didn't look back. I haven't driven the car yet, but it's installed and all I can say is wow! It's a thing of beauty and quality. Anyway, food for thought. |

I don't have any of mine in the car, but here is a link to a thread by Frank at Prodigy. https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=10665
This thread, https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=10488 And this thread https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=9784 Should cover all the bases. As you can see it's been discussed quite a bit on here. This is a pick if the Air-Bar, same thing but the G-Bar has coilovers. http://ridetech.com/productinfo/prod.../ABAR20100.jpg It's a VERY nice setup and almost entirely a bolt-in kit. Give Frank at Prodigy a call he he'll talk you into it in 2 minutes. He can also make you a nice deal on the kit through his GP Superstore. Truthfully, after seeing it installed I would never go back to leafs again. |
