Man I love snow. Nothing like a 250 hp /500 lb snowmobile!
We get unough snow here just to piss everyone off and make a mess.

XcYZ 02-27-2008 11:57 AM

I hear you, Jake. It's been a long winter here, too. We've had snow on the ground since December 1st.

jy211 02-27-2008 12:07 PM

That sucks...it's gonna be alomost unbearable tomorrow here...high 30's to low 40's...and never any snow! We just had a heat wave...from Staurday until yesterday it was in the 80's...

ironworks 02-27-2008 12:10 PM

Shoot it has been 65 for about 2 weeks, It rained a bit on saturday. It snowed about 10 years ago.

Snow

As I mentioned in my e-mail I was born and raised in vermont the winter cabin fever and snow made me leave. Oklahoma isn't perfect but the snow is never here more than a week. And yes I have a spare bedroom so bring your laptop and we'll staighten out my Jim Meyer suspension.

Diognes56 02-27-2008 12:16 PM

I too am ready for spring, summer, or I would even settle for fall. I am just sick of winter, though it looks like the winter here hasn't been nearly as bad as the winter there :wow: .

Wow. Lot's of snow there. It's cooler here Today (78 degrees and sunny) Southern California. Yesterday was mid 80's. My kids would be lovin all that snow but I can see it would get old quick. On the plus side I hear it the Fall season is awesome up your way Jake.

68protouring454 02-27-2008 12:21 PM

yeah, I am living the dream
we have had snow since before thanksgiving, we are over 100 inches for the year, i think its close to 150

Hdesign 02-27-2008 12:28 PM

I hear ya Jake, though we don't have as much as you guys do. Snow's been here since early Dec and I'm totally sick of it.

As for the fall foliage....buy a coffee table book or Yankee New England calendar, it lasts longer. The color only lasts a week then it's all brown and gray until mid April. Plus you can't even enjoy that one week of foliage because all the leaf peepers come and clog up the roads and every B&B from MA to Canada.

I'd love to get outta here but I'm locked in until the kid(s) are in college at least. My daughter is 2.5 so I have a looooooong way to go.:(

Steve1968LS2 02-27-2008 12:29 PM

Snow?

Hmmm... looks somewhat familar..

It barely made it into the 80s here.. somewhat chilly..

Come on down Jake. Heck, my garage is probably a lot warmer than your igloo.

68protouring454 02-27-2008 12:56 PM

feelin for me ya right
anyone know what its like to try to move a rotisseri around with 14 inches of snow around it? lol, snow is great like 4 times a year, we are on storm 17

Why are you locked down? she isn't even in school yet. thats the easiest time to move before they make real friends.

comp-spec 02-27-2008 01:25 PM

There's really no substitute for having family around. Instant, eager and free babysitters! And she had a blast sledding down the "big" hill the other day. Once your kids experience snow, I can't imagine how hard it is to take it away, especially around the holidays.

The other thing is schools. Not that the public schools in my town are great (or even good) but all the more rural towns we're thinking of moving to are.

Stuart Adams 02-27-2008 01:40 PM

Close your eyes Jake. Have some one read this to you while eyes still closed.

Today in Lake Havasu, golfing in shorts, people boating, hot rods all around with the windows down and the chicks are barely clothed, ok open your eyes. Feel better, LOL.

Sales@Dutchboys 02-27-2008 01:43 PM

Beegs 02-27-2008 03:56 PM

Jake...I brought the kids up to Conway and was going to look you up until I ended up in the emergency room.

I wiped out at Cranmore and I WASN'T sking.... lol Put a real damper on the family vacation!

You know we have a pile of snow when I started using my excavator to move some some bankings back at my shop! I'm ready for it to go away!

tellyv 02-27-2008 07:41 PM

I didn't know you guys are in AZ. Maybe we should round up everyone in the neighboring states and meet up for a cruise kind of gig before it gets to hot. Maybe Lake Havasu.

You going to have that same hottie in your SEMA booth this year? :D

OLDFLM 02-29-2008 09:51 AM

Weather

I've spent 22+ years active duty and most of my assignments have been in MT, WY, CO, NE and I grew up in NW Ohio, so I feel your pain.

But, I've driven my Formula to work every day this week but Wed down here in middle Georgia! We have a guest suite in the bonus room too btw! Now accepting reservations... LOL
