New caliper finish from Baer...
It seems they had a hard time getting a consitent result from thier old annodizing process, so they came up with a new industrial coating for those that are really going to punish their brakes.
I do believe it's a type of nickle finish and I think this is one of the first sets. Now I just need to get them on the car... Photography by David Pozzi :) http://i36.tinypic.com/24fjp6q.jpg |
Those look great. What systems are they offered on?

More rotor mass will be a good thing. |
Sick.....way better than the red. :_paranoid I always thought it was called an "Emergency" brake. LOL

Why? because if you loose you brakes in an emergency that dinky system is just gonna fry and fail under hard load. |

Looks great Steve. Did David do a solvent test on the back side to see how well the new finish stands up to cleaning? That looks like a great improvement. |
Cant wait to see what they look like installed on the car!!

That's a sexy finish...looks like the caliper was brushed and then plated with electroless nickel. We've made some chromoly brackets for a few vintage racers in the past that we had plated with e-nickel and they hold up really well against corrosive brake dust and fluid

Those look killer Steve! Baer are coming out with some really nice stuff as of late.
(I actually saw the rotors & calipers that will be going on Orange Krate. WOW!! I don't know what model they are, but I am sure they are track tested. They are huge and the quality looks great.) |

They were too big for my car. |

Yeah, those suckers are HUGE! :wow: |
Why the change from Wilwood to Baer? Just wondering.
