Tyler,
Sweet motor.

Where is the power steering pump?

Teetoe_Jones 07-22-2010 12:58 PM

It's not included, nor is the alternator, or Bosch ECU.

I think this is just what Dave needs in his car to go with those HRE's he's going to buy. He can still return that bling oil pan right.

WOW!!! that's the perfect motor for my Sunoco camaro. The bad thing I would have to sell the camaro to aford the motor.Good luck w/ the sale.

DFRESH 07-22-2010 05:04 PM

Does it come with an AC compressor?

Can't believe you aren't keeping this for project 50/50.

Come on BroMontana. Brosef. If this was something I owned don't you think I'd be pimping this on every thread known to man?

I'd be all like- "Those brakes are super sweet on your car; did you know that I have a C5R race engine?"

I'd win the whole internet if I had this engine. The entire thing. Mine. I'd share some of my newly won internets with Al Gore, since he invented it.

At the risk of sounding stupid, How would you run this thing without the Bosch ECU?

Great question. Because this is a C5R and not a C6R engine, the sensors started out as factory type; then as the program evolved they would replace sensors from the racing line of Bosch until it was all all aftermarket. The only exception to this is the TPS on the carbon intake; it was never factory to begin with and would more than likely require a bracket fabricated to make a factory sensor adapt. Or you could run a MoTeC system.
Regardless, this thing runs on 114 octane, made from the souls of children. The fuel cell is really high tech and uses magic.

Kidding.

See what happens when Tyler cries wolf Ha, Ha. We may have to mandate him to " legit" as his signature.
Motor- seen it, questioned it, tried to get talked into it, taked to Virginia speed about one and the dream goes on. This is the creme of the la'creme but it may be too bad ass natured for the streets. Hell of a price though.

Jason, I like my pan!

Steve1968LS2 07-22-2010 08:12 PM

This is the engine Chuck Norris would run in his pro-touring car.. you know it's true..

Ok--I'll rephrase---"I cant' believe you aren't "buying" this and keeping it for project 50/50.

Are you the "friend" that he is selling it for? That's good, we need funding for R&D on the PG spray.

That's purdy....

Matt@BOS 07-23-2010 10:35 AM

That is pure unadulterated awesome. How many miles could be put on it before it needs to be rebuilt? Has anyone even lived long enough need to rebuild it? I know I'd kill myself in the first week, maybe just from a heart attack caused by too much excitement, and if not that, then definitely from trying to drive it.
