69 Camaro, Angry Pumpkin
I dropped by my motor shop and my motor is coming together. It's a procharged motor wet sump motor. I'm going to run a D1SC with the helical gear set. Mild cam so it's hopefully somewhat of a sleeper when it's idling. Wiseco pistons, K1 rods, ls7 heads with upgraded valves/springs. Fast 102 intake. Goals for boost are about 15lbs, we'll see depending on how much the motor makes on the dyno NA. Goal is 900hp hopefully a bit more. Taking a page from the ls9 and going with piston squirters. The car is a 69 camaro with a T56 from D&D. Short block is being assembled just waiting on heads. Woo hoo!!!
Just saying http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...c/IMAG0217.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...c/IMAG0216.jpg Motor is done, just waiting to install, wire and plumb the d1sc/supercharger. sub frames burner in. Cage should be done in the next week or so. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...ovic/photo.jpg setting ride height on chassis table http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...vic/photo1.jpg BFG 345/30/18s on 18x12s http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...gejpeg_2_7.jpg Couple of shots prior to tear down http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...504-1327-1.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...504-1326-1.jpg Shock bar tacked in http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...vic/photo3.jpg Wheels before I powder coated/widened http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...626-2033-1.jpg |

car is looking awesome!!

Thanks guys I appreciate it. It's been a drawn out process but hopefully this will be "done" in the next month or so.

Love it! Tell me how you ended up using ladder bars vs four link-- My aplogies if I missed it in the thread earlier. If you can keep the stance as you have it in mock up, it will be insane. Looking forward to seeing more on it as you move forward, especially the procharger setup.

Well, I had to be realistic with myself. Most of my "spirited" driving does not take place at autocross or road race tracks. I'm more of a straight line guy that really enjoys the pro-touring looks with the larger wheels and stance. It's kinda a frankenstein really. Drag style rear suspension, ATS front suspension, C6 brakes, LS motor with FI, and a 6 speed. It won't do anything really well lol. That being said I wouldn't change a thing. I love the look of pro touring cars but in the same breath I know I wouldn't use a DSE quadra link or similar style 4 link to it's intended use.
After all that to answer your question, a functional drag style 4 link would have all but eliminated my rear seat. Quote:
