fuel injected tank on a 69 camaro?
I was told I could buy the fuel injected tank and just run my carb set up for now?
Could I just use mechanical pump to pull gas from tank and leave electric pump unhooked until I do my Ls swap? Im not able to do LS motor at this time. The car is mini tubed so I need to run a narrowed tank and hate buying thing twice. Thanks Kirk |

Aeromotive Tank??
Just found this on Summit. And less than $800 by the time shipping is figured in.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AEI-18658/?rtype=10 From the product listing: "These Aeromotive 1969 F-body Stealth fuel tanks feature an Aeromotive 340 Stealth electric fuel pump mounted to a billet aluminum, black anodized hanger assembly. The 340 Stealth electric fuel pumps boast an impressive 340 lph flow and use a turbine pump mechanism for increased durability and can be used in pulse-modulated applications. The Aeromotive 1969 F-body Stealth fuel tanks also features an innovative baffling/tray system to control fuel slosh and keep the 340 Stealth fuel pump submerged ensuring consistent pump performance even at low fuel levels and extreme driving conditions. The tanks include a GM 0-90 ohm sending unit that comes preinstalled, pre-pump filter sock, internal return line tubing, and three AN ORB ports--one for the feed line, one for the return line, and one for the vent. For extra protection, the tanks are silver powdercoated for maximum durability." Anybody know anything about this product? Saw that a few people have seen it at SEMA. Looks like it is a stock width tank. I like that it is aluminum, and not steel. Would prefer stainless though. |
