Anyone with Fast Xfi..... quick question

Im looking to see what color wires and what order they go into the IAC sensor. Mine were extended a long time ago.. and i have 3 reds going into the connector and 1 black. I want to make sure i dont have any backwards or something. I havent used the IAC because it never worked right...

I traced the wiring and found good connections to the colored wires... but cant find a diagram to make sure they are correct.

Should be red, blue, yellow, and black.

I upgraded to the 2.0.. and its been a nightmare trying to recalibrate all the new settings...... uuugggghhhh.

thanks.

that is what they're supposed to be. Maybe I don't understand your question. The A pin on the IAC should have the red wire from the ecu. The B pin should have the blue wire and so on. These wires come from the gray 25 pin harness, which also has the fuel pump, fan, and power adder harnesses.

If you need help with the tune let me know. I've helped others here as well.

It's been a long time since I did this, but I do remember a little. :) There are 2 different types of IAC as I recall, and the wiring depends on which of the two you used. In my case, I had 2 different throttle bodies I was working with. One had a GM IAC, and one had a Chrysler IAC (I think my Holley TB had the Chrysler unit). Anyway, the wires had to be reconnected depending on which setup I used.

So start with the question "Which IAC am I using?", and go from there. Ensure that the IAC and wiring pattern match. Again, it's been a while, and Jody has more experience with these than I do, but I want to say that if it's wired wrong, it would go full open or full closed when you power up the ignition, so perhaps you can look at what it is doing before starting the engine?

Good luck!
