Rumors
5 Attachment(s)
I was building a Mustang like almost everyone else...lol. it was almost complete and then a friend of my Chassis guy had a deal I could not pass up.
A 2004 5.7 GTO 25xxx miles zero accidents, on stands waiting for the narrowed 9" to be put in and a cage but he lost interest. so a incredible deal was struck and it was mine. I sold my mustang roller and ended up only $700 out of pocket for the GTO. The hole was for the 6.0 with a Hogan carb intake. I was not a complete motor. also had new twin 76mm turbos 2 waste gates and blow off valve. I already had a built 5.7 Windsor so I figured why not..... scrapped the 6 point cage in favor of a 25.2 chassis 20 inches of wheel clearance per side. Cage and sheet metal should be finished by Feb 22nd. |

Long time gone
Sorry everyone, the chassis guy working on my car had a bad slip and fall, Broken elbow and torn ACL.
he is back at it now and swamped from being out. The headers will be finished this weekend and the tin work in the back of the car will begin. I am waiting for the ladder/4 link bars to get back from coating, did them in wood grian to mess with the tech inspectors at the track. Afoc Big Gun adjustible shocks came in as well as the 2 fuel cells. Engine setup changed a little, I had too much time to think:hairpullout: Changing out the short block, power adder and the intake set-up. Oh and the transmission. And my hood |
Pictures of recent adds

|
Those ladder bars are HILARIOUS!!! That is really going to throw people for a loop.
|
x2 I like that wood covering.
That's a monster blower. |
Thanks
Yeah I really thought it would be funny watching the NHRA tech look under the car and BAM! Broom stick?
The blower is a Procharger F1X with a front mount bracket. The radiator will be horizontially(more of an angle actually) mounted with a dual blow thru fan set-up. The new engine is a Dart Iron eagle filled with Callies Crank, Oliver Billet Rods, Racetec pistons and a Danny Bee belt drive. |
Sheetmetal
1 Attachment(s)
Well finally got enough spare time to start the interior sheetmetal. Made both tubs last night. They are freaking huge but it allows me to slam the car low and not worry about tire growth or shake. ended up 44' front to back with an average width of 23". First time making them so it was pretty cool. Once everything is fitted it all goes out for hydrocoating.
