First Gen ECU mounting

Where are most people putting them? I am running the Holley HP EFI setup and I think I have enough harness to make it to under the passenger seat. Anyone else mounted an ECU there?

SuperB70 10-27-2014 12:48 PM

In coupple last builds I've put them inside the dash, just over the glovebox.

made a plate out of aluminum and mounted my holley ecu tucked up under fender behind core support in my 69 camaro

I put my ecu against the firewall on the driver side, inside the fender.

Awesome job Jeff. Is it forward of the guage pod? Also, are those 5th gen seats? (I posted below trying to get some info on that).

The pcm is actually mounted ( using a stock GM pcm mounting bracket) under the front of console / gauge pod

The seats started as new Hunsaker Motorsports that I had recovered / reworked by a buddy that owns a upholstry shop here that I also built a LS2 engine for it trade for both front and rear seat reupohlstry done

Thanks Jeff

Are you running AC

Mine is a 02 Camaro ECU mounted behind the glove box door. Has AC too.

Im mounting mine in the trunk under the parcel shelf. Im using a stock ecm bracket from a 2001 GMC jimmy that originally mounts under the hood. I also had my ecm harness lengthened to reach the trunk. Never seen anyone do this so I hope I dont have any issues. I see BMWs and M/benz mounting their ecms in the trunk and dont seem to have any issues. I guess I will find out soon.

That's where I'm going to mount mine as well. I'm going to fabricate my own console and have a provision for the ecm.

On another note Jeff, where did you get that shifter? I like it.

It is a Twist Machine shifter handle
