LS3 radiator hose clamps and heater hose bypass?
Just wondering what you are using for upper and lower radiator hose clamps....something nicer than a regular worm-drive clamp! Also, I won't be running a heater. does anyone make a curved by-pass hose that is a different size on each end for the LS3?

....I meant "?" not "!"....oops. How do you choose the clamp size? Let's say that the installed hose has an outside diameter of 2". Do you choose a clamp that is 2-1.75 or 2.25-2?

I used the factory style clamps that came on my LS they look better than worm clams

I thought that if the outlets were simply capped off there would be an air pocket trapped behind them?

Dayco #87629 or Kelly-Springfield #S-4354. Not sure what the cross reference numbers are for Gates etc.

3/8" and 1/2" NPT. The holes are the right size, just run a tap through. |
Ahhh...Thanks for the clarification!!!

I like using the Gates Power Grip clamps
http://www.gates.com/products/automo...grip-sb-clamps I believe they make them for Afco as mentioned earlier Jeff |
I was just watching You Tube tonight, Hot Rod Garage and they said never block the heater out lets it was big trouble, you should loop it if your not going to use it. I don't know I've never had an LS but figured I'd mention it. Anybody know for sure either way?

Presently every aftermarket AC system has a solenoid valve that closes of the water to the heater core when heater is turned off. |
I think some believe that if the heater hose outlets are blocked off it won't allow all the air to be purged out of the cooling system when filling for thte first time. Thanks for the hose part numbers!
