Any Gen 3 Hemi experience....
Anybody done a late model Hemi in a project?
Curious who's harness you used and why. Any issues you might have run into? Jeff- |
We have done a few of these projects if you want to give me a call

HotwireAuto is about the only company i've found that has been doing it a while.

I used Street & Performance in Arkansas for two LS harnesses. I know they do HEMI harnesses also. They were very helpful both times every step of the way. Hope it helps you out.

We've done quite a few. We used to make our own harness by pairing down the stocker, but as of this year, we simply use the Holley EFI computer and harness. I like the Holley setup as you can always upgrade your engine with just a few key strokes.

Bouchillon (BPE) uses Hotwire Auto. They might get you a better deal than going direct though! Randy over at BPE is a great guy.

All the Mopar shops are using Hotwire harnesses. I'm working with Affordable Fuel Injection in Michigan to build harnesses that work with HP tuners and the stock PCM.

Holley now offers plug-n-play harness and ECU kits for GenIII hemies.

Doing a Gen 3 Hemi using Holley's ECU and Harness. they'r enice for plug and play, require a few add-ons such as coil drivers but well worth the control. No VVT control native to the system yet but there are work arounds.

The Holley stuff looked like a bargain at first glance but once you put together all the components needed and the ecu, it's pretty pricey (or did I miss something?). Definitely the best choice if you plan to do a lot of high hp mods to the engine. I would like to use the VVT and only plan to add headers. I'm leaning toward using the factory stuff as much as possible. |
