Widened Camaro front inner fenders available!
http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/...psba86mlgn.jpg
Hey All- To go along with our new ExtReme front subframe we are now offering widened front inner fender wells to accommodate the wider 315mm tires and huge steering angle. These tubs have a lightweight and sturdy fiberglass construction and a semi gloss black gel coat finish. Check 'em out by Clicking here! |
You ca see here how the tubs make a difference and fit the profile and dimensions of the ExtReme frame rails. Here are a couple pics of Roger's RedZed 69 Camaro's old tubs and it's new ExtReme tubs...

Ben ... those look awesome, question, how do they mount? Stock hardware?
Thanks, I'll need a set for my 67 Camaro, are they in stock? Michael |
Hmmm. I'm very tempted for my 68!
Edit. Since these are designed for the Extreme subframe which I'm not running I have a couple of questions. Do these sit on top of the subframe in all places or does any part drop below the top of the subframe along the outside of the frame like OEM inner fenders? Assuming the latter what is width of the extreme subframe in those locations? Thanks |
Sorry I missed these posts, I'll get some installed pics and get 'em posted up as soon as I can.
|
Ben ... still waiting on installation pics or instructions. Any pics of Roger's car?
Thanks, Michael |
I will have him post up some on Monday. they look really good installed.
just sent off the 67-8 set to have molds made and a production set to test fit. will be a couple weeks for those |
Blake or Ben, two questions:
For my 2nd gen, I currently have a powder coated stitched welded g braced semi stock front clip with your control arms and Baer spindles and brakes. A-do you have these for 2nd gen yet? B-if/when I upgrade to your new front clip assembly will these fit? Thanx, mike |

B I have no idea. the 2 gen inner fenders have alto more room than firs gen, the one we had here (Rodgers from Ironworks) looked like only the rear inner part of the fender would need to me modified a bit to clear the tire at full turn. because the fenders are wider outside than a 1st gen you don't need as much BS OR you can run a larger tire I think (not confirmed yet) that a 335 will fit with no outer fender mods. |

Ben, any pictures of the inners yet?
Michael |
We are waiting for the first production set for the early 1st gens from our supplier, likely about another 2 weeks. We'll then test fit them on a 67 we're building in the shop and give them the go ahead to make several sets. I'd say production units should up for sale in about 4-5 weeks. I'll get pics as soon as we have them test fit on the shop build.

The widened fender wells are now in stock and available. We have 2 different part numbers, one for '67-68 and one for '69. Here are some pics of the '69s, the earlier ones are similar in size and shape but conform to the shape of the earlier fenders. Here's a link to them on the website... Click here

Where you guys still going to do a price adjustment on the tubs? I know Blake said he was looking into lowering the cost.
|
I am not sure it is required.
http://anvilauto.com/products/camaro...-pair-582.html Ours are 200.00 less then above made in USA. And available. |
Great!
Blake, outstanding news ... I will stop on my way back to Cali for a pair of 67's!
Thanks for made in the USA, Michael |

Thanks for the response!!
Hope you post up some pics of a 315 on a Nova!! |
Ben bringing this thread to the top ... do you have pics of these inner wheel wells on the 67 you finished? Install PDF?
Really curious how they install and look on a car vs the retail picture on the website! Michael |

Bringing back this thread but I wanted to see if you guys had the weight of your widened fiberglass fenders vs factory steel ones?
Ahmad |
Hey Ahmad, thanks for asking. We haven't weighed them for comparison, and unfortunately the original inners we had were cut up and reshaped to make a mold off of so I couldn't go weigh them now. Ours are likely about the same weight as the factory steel units. Our inners are not designed to be like light racer weight drag race inners, but rather are a little thicker, designed to be durable and last in a street car application.
BTW, we have dropped the price significantly on them to better serve you guys, they're now a lot cheaper than similar tubs from competitors. Please note again although they use factory fender mounting points these are designed specifically to fit our ExtReme subframe shock towers and frame rail contours and will not fit any other subframe without modification. |
Now make some for 65' Chevelle :poke:
|
Might be quicker for you to break out the fab tools. ;) Unfortunately in this business new part design and development often relies on what car is in the shop. We'd need a 65 here to do that. Lots of Camaros here but not many Chevelles...

Agreed. With the new ExtReme chassis now available for Chevelles we should be seeing more of them being competitive against the Camaros and such. Alan is almost done with his new '70 Chevelle that will be on an ExtReme chassis so we're looking forward to seeing him get it running, dialed in, and start taking out some pony cars. ;)

Back from the dead bump
