Twin Turbo headers

Got my TT headers from Nelson Racing Engines. They are 321 stainless and the flanges and mounts are a half inch thick. They are silcon bronze welded and TIG'd on the outside AND inside. They have 25 degree merge collectors and 1 3/4 primary tubes and are dead sexy.

Ooooohhh...Me likey!

Are there any dimensionsal differences with these vs. if you were not running a tall deck?

syborg tt 08-25-2006 07:04 AM

wow - i wish i have a v8

Since your in the thick of it - any Updates from Hydratech on there new Booster set up

nitrorocket 08-25-2006 07:22 AM

Are you tuning yourself?? You should easily make close to 1200 hp on 93 octane. That motor will handle a good 18 psi or so on pump gas. The power might not come on untill the higher rpm though due to the huge .96 AR housings.
If you ever have any tuning questions, I would love to help offer advice to turn that thing into a serious dyno queen!!

Those headers look sweet!!

fatlife 08-25-2006 10:48 AM

what happened to the banks setup?

71Nova 08-25-2006 11:30 AM

Those are Sooooo Sexy!

Mike Hall 08-25-2006 11:43 AM

Oh man those look nice. Those looks like they would allow an AC compressor without any problems. I live down in South GA so I will need tomake sure I have AC if I want to enjoy my car. LOL

Does this mean you can make another set too ? Amazing work Tom!!!!

Mike Hall 08-25-2006 01:21 PM

Do you have fixtures to make headers like these for an LSX based engine? I would guess these would cost upwards of $2000 or so right?

Mike

jonny51 08-25-2006 01:29 PM

Much improved Tom.

J2SpeedandCustom 08-25-2006 01:46 PM

Damn! Scott and Tom those are really sweet!

They almost cost that in material! 321 is NOT CHEAP. I speak this from experience. :faint:

I have about $1400 in 321 material in my LSX headers, and that was making double slip fit collectors myself! :willy:

TOM NELSON 08-25-2006 02:23 PM

twin turbo ls1 headers

Heres a shot of some of my universal headers for a lsx based engines I sell these headers for 3200.00 and the the 69's above for 3800.00 the lsx's pictured come with down pipes for the turbo and wastegate attachment.

Rybar 08-25-2006 03:54 PM

Looks killer Scott, why did you go with these vs the banks manifolds? Tom, you guys do great work! :hail:

Mike Hall 08-25-2006 04:02 PM

Will the LSX headers clear an AC unit?

Mike

camcojb 08-25-2006 04:12 PM

those headers are awesome and I'm gonna need a set!

Thanks guys, they are truly works of art.

Here's a pic I took yesterday afternoon. I decided it should make an appearance at the local cruise-in.

JamesD 08-27-2006 03:55 PM

That's awesome Scott... I know your 'half-completed' car got more looks than probably most of the rides there!

Payton King 08-28-2006 07:54 AM

I would not fininsh it....

make a plexi-glass box for it and put 1:1 diecast TT Camaro on the side.

Thinking about doing one for mine

NU BREED 08-31-2006 04:58 AM

Headers

Those Are Really Nice, high Quality Pieces..car Is Definately A Bad Boy..how Close Is The Master Cylinder To The Pipes??????

XcYZ 08-31-2006 06:35 AM

It's close, but it clears. The MC will have to be run at the manual brake angle.

Overkill 08-31-2006 10:39 AM

Moving Target

The headers look killer, but are you trying to make it harder on Tom Sullivan who is doing the CGI rendering of your car???

They are a really nice addition.

3kidsnotime 09-10-2006 11:07 PM

That is some nice work, I hope some attention goes into the heat factor on the P/S pump and hydroboost and master cylinder on the completed project, It could get scary.......
