What can I get for $25k-$30k?
I see we have a bunch of really high end, mostly Camaro builds here. I wish everyone would put their asking prices on their title/headline so I know whether to bother clicking on it or not lol! I pretty much love all old school Muscle Cars, but they’ve always been outa my reach. I’ve been a Foxbody nut my whole life, but now is the time to move on. I’m so sick of all the California BS we have for smog and now the “loud exhaust” law just kills it for me and Foxbodies... Anyway, just wondering what’s out there for $25k-$30k.

Not sure if it helps but I like to use searchtempest.com to scour all of Craigslist. I've you're willing to travel away from your city you can find some good deals.

I think you can find a Sweet Car for your price point |
What exactly are you looking for?
I have a LS1 powered Nova Wagon in the classifieds right in your price wheelhouse. :D |
I actually posted a WTB ad previously on Craigslist’s cars & trucks section “Looking for a clean, painted, rust free roller” that I can swap my Foxbody’s motor into, but someone kept flagging my ad...
I’m pretty open to a lot of old schools up to 1973, not just Fords. My dad did have a ‘70 Cougar in the Philippines before I was even born. Claims it was the only one in the PI at the time. So a Cougar would be on top of my list right now. I’d love to surprise him with one. If I don’t end up with a Cougar it’s ok. I like all interesting muscle cars. LS swaps with the big brake kits and suspension mods are really nice! Just no big projects or anything with rust. |
This Cougar is for sale: https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php?t=53790

I doubt you will find more bang for your buck than Dave’s wagon. There is a lot invested in that car.

Big Pontiac fan here, always refreshing to see one in an ocean of Camaros. I particularly like the 69 Firebirds best. In the short three years of the first generation cars the 69 was quite refined which is good and bad, one year only parts and Pontiac specific which makes it challenging to find quality original parts if needed but then again, that is what makes them so special. Pontiac's were always the higher end fancier cars inside and out so not many available, again making them even more special and rare today.
Here is a 69 for comparison to the 67 you are considering. Keep in mind that this has the optional Trans Am package. Tim john--- |

Here are a few additional pictures. All 69 Trans Am's had the same paint scheme, no exterior color options were available on production cars. The prototype cars (2) were both Palidium Silver but all production 69 Trans Am cars were Cameo Ivory w/ Tyrol blue tail panels, stripes. Interior colors, vinyl & convertible soft tops were optional as well as standard or deluxe seat coverings/door panels/dash, etc.

That’s a nice vert! 69’s are definitely the sexiest IMO. Firebird or Camaro. Beautiful body lines.
