removable exhaust section/3 piece crossmember
 

I need to have access to my trans. Currently the crossmember and x pipe are in the way to easily "drop" the trans. Anyone running a 3 piece crossmember and/or removable section of the exhaust (x-pipe) on a 68-72 GM A body to allow this?

I used Dr Gas ball cone collectors to build a drop out center like you are takling about once. Two sets gets expensive but it looked clean didn't leak and did not loose any performance.

Thanks, I'll check 'em out. Anyone used/have a 3 piece crossmember?
