Tire pressure?

I would like to know your recommendations on tire pressure on big wheels like the ones I have, 275/40X17 & 245/45x17.

I think they are a little to stiff at the moment, I don't have any values now to compare with.

Thanks

Pressure

Good question. I would like to hear some input as well.
My BFG's (285/40/17)say max pressure is 44lbs. I have been running them at 40lbs. Positives/negatives?

Heck no. At 40 psi and up, they must be hard as rocks. I run 34 front 32 rear. The goal is to get some compliance back into the tires. Otherwise, it's grip, grip, grip....whoa doggie!! And I'm running 35 series 18's. Maybe try 2 psi higher than my settings for 17/40's Only drawback to dropping the pressure is that you have to check them more often. Try it, you'll be much happier with the ride and handling :D

Edit: Edited to insert "EEK" smiley.
