I haven't installed the XV deal, but I have the lateral-dynamics set-up and I love it. Installation wasn't that bad either.

PM Bill Howell on the XV stuff, I know he's in the process of installing it on his Charger and should be able to give you insight.

Watt's links rule!!! lol :woot:

if you intend to turn both left and right... id vote for a watts-link.. but not having seen any of the two setups in person ill refrain from voting...

My opinion will be based on price only. If your car will be just a cruiser and not actually at the track atleast 4 times a year. In other words it is a show only car. I would still like to see some of the high dollar ($100K+) run at the track 1/4 mile or road course.

What did you vote for, Mark?...I don't want just a show car. If I did, these would not be the only two choices. I think both are very capable...just not sure which is the better suspension...which would win if it were in comparo test..like a protouring magazine or something.

There are SO MANY other factors involved.. tires, driver, tuning, etc.. Hard to make a direct comparison.

But, I don't think there's much argument over the fact that a Watt's link is superior to a PHR set-up on the track (assuming you're turning in both directions.. lol)

For a street car the difference may not amount to enough to notice. My LD system certainly is tunable.

What kind of car are you working on? No doubt I would use the XV over the AlterKation, since I bought the XV level II stuff. I should be able to give you a real world opinion in about two months on how the parts work on my charger.

Rear end I can not say, Mark did not have those parts available when I was buying parts for my car, so I don't know about the rear set up. I am working on putting the XV set up under my car at this time. So far I like what I see.

I differ from this opinion. A well-designed panhard bar can work extremely well, and does not suffer from the usual drawbacks of a watts (complexity, cost, weight, and exhaust room).

I'm building a '71 cuda... those are the two options I've narrowed it down to. Just wondering which would perform better...since lateral dynamics doesn't yet have a front suspension I choose the AlterK to go with it for know.

I just wish i would bought a cuda back then when they were affordable. I chose GM because there was a lot more good parts and knowhow available.

No with XV i wouldn think of an second to to choose their stuff. I think its allmost unreal how good products and systems they offer

Can someone donate me a cuda ?
