w00t it works!

Vinyl paint works!! Duplicolors flat black vinyl and plastic paint!

No primer needed, no cracking... no flaking, i couldnt even scrape it off it my finger. in my quest to change my interior to black, i'm lucky i found it!

Works on both vinyl and plastic and you can see here! :D

Believe it or not, just 2 light coats for the plastic... and one for vinyl... it soaks it right up... crazy.

I wonder how the paint will hold up to general wear and tear and friction on the seats.Keep us posted I would like to know.

vinyl dye

i always use rubbing alcohol toclean plastic/ vinyl theniuse a adhesion promoter so it sticks and stays, the apply ver light coats generally 2-4 coats, sem makes a great vinyl dye in spray bomb or mix and spray, looks good max,did you use any adhesion promoter??

I use SEM. The stuff holds up pretty well but since it is not a permanent dye, it will need touched up from time to time. It is definitely cheaper than having it recovered and looks just as good.
