LS2 dipstick with AutoKraft pan

The stock dipstick doesn't work with my oil pan, what did you guys do to modify the orignal or which one to buy?

Thanks,

Rich

I used the Lokar version for the LS1; it goes into a hole in the passenger side of the block, just above the pan rail. My block was plugged there, just removed the plug, added a small amount of silicone for the o-ring since the hole was tapped, and it seals perfect.

Thanks for the link jody

Are you running the autoKraft pan? Did you weld up the exsisting hole in your pan?

Thanks ,

Rich

no, I have the ATS pan. If the pan has the correct LS hole in it then a universal or the LS style Lokar should work, won't need to go through the block. If it won't fit in the pan you'll need to plug it obviously.

I'd call Kurt and see what he uses.

dip stick

I have the auto craft pan on an ls 2. I knocked out the plug in the block and stuck the factory dip stick in the hole and it sealed with the original o-ring. When the stick shows full, I believe I am a quart to high on the level. steve

If it's an LS2 then just like Jody mentioned you remove the plug in the block right above the pan rail and either install a Lokar dipstick or an F-body dipstick:thumbsup:

looks like the Lokar is the one to have.
