Camaro aluminum front spoiler

Hi, does anyone know where I can get hold of an aluminum front spoiler for a 1st gen Camaro? I'm sure I've seen them on this site, but can't find the thread, thanks in advance...Nige:thumbsup:

Any particular reason why you would want an aluminum spoiler? I know a top notch fab guy that could fab one up using a stock plastic one as reference...

I just feel that the plastic ones are a little flimsy & as the car's gonna be used for racing I wanted something a bit stronger.

Jan, I might well fab one up myself to a pattern of the original, no problems in doing it, it's just that I thought I'd seen one on the forum & if they were cheap enough it wouldn't be worth my effort to make one:thumbsup:

I think Twist Machine and/or Jake's Rod Shop made some prototypes of both the front and the rear aluminum spoilers. I know they did the rear as I have pics of it.

I trying to count how many plastic front spoilers I have damaged over the years. Then imagining how I would feel when I did it to my trick aluminum one.

I was thinking the same thing. At least when I damaged my spoiler that was all I damaged. A hard fixed spoiler would probably do some damage to surrounding body its attatched to. It needs to be something that blends in with the car color and theme and not be a center of attention piece, IMO.

As another point of reference, when I used to race my 240Z at Lime Rock I put on an unbreakable chin spoiler after going through a few fiberglass ones. I ate a cone and mangled the lower valance. The spoiler was still perfect.
