I thought ya'll might like to see the results of my latest data log.
Specs are Garret T04E .60 compressor, 1.24 turbine Tubular manifold, tail 38mm wastegate, 9 lbs spring. Devil's Own 150 psi pump 50/50 distilled water/methanol M2 nozzle pre-compressor M7 nozzle post compressor I especially like how the AIT keeps going down as the boost and RPM go up. :wow: |
yep, I use water injection on every forced induction build I do, cheap insurance.

I am using only AI for intercooling. I may eventually run an intercooler as well, that way it will truly be insurance.
Do you use devil's own or aquamist? |

I would run pure methanol for the cooling. But I run at least 25% water for detonation deterrent. Since it's cold, I've gone up to 50/50. |

I've heard MANY people say water has better cooling properties, but in all the logs I've seen from my own car, the more methanol, the colder in the intake charge. Maybe alcohol has less cooling than water, but methanol...?

I plan on running water injection on my new Procharger set up without a intercooler. I hope it will allow 6-8 psi on 91 with my sorta high 9.8 to 1 comp.
