Fat Bottom Camaros

Lately I have been widen Camaros to give them a more aggressive look & tire room for bigger tires without mini-tubing, we are able to pull about 2 inches per side.. Going back to Trans Am days of flaring.. We have done this on67,68,69 & 70's Camaros.. Each have been different processes but are narrowing it down to what you see in the pics..

Looks hot!

Just curious, how much labor/time is involved with this?

You mentioned having done it to a 70. Do you have any pictures of that?

I can't wait to see the Track Rat all done.. We did the backs different from the above but it has a really good look. The big moment will be when there's tires and it's slammed on the ground.

We also stretched the fronts one inch..

JCG does some crazy good metal fabrication work (and they make some killer billet stuff)

Thanks Cris...

We did this on my 70 Z28! The second gen is has proven to be a challenge cause the door opening is very close to the wheel opening & it causes the lines to pull up.. On my 70 we have it pulled 1 inch on one side & 2 inches on the other side.. We were able to fit a 335 with the 2 inch pull :D Post pics tomorrow!

Thanks for the compliments Steve & the opportunity to do this to the Track Rat! Lets just make sure we get a case of beer for Dick @ Best of Show when he gets the car back & has to do the body work again :_paranoid

I cant wait to see the car painted & assembled!
