LED Turn Signal Indicators?

I've got a Covan's dash in my Camaro, and tried using these little single LED lights I found for cheap off some little website, but I've burned through 2 and am getting tired of pulling the dash.

Are there any recommendations for lights to use for my TS indicators, bright light, CEL, and parking brake indicator? I thought I remembered seeing a little 3-light LED set-up with a small chrome ring on summit sometime, but can't find ANYTHING now.

are you wiring up directly or through a capacitor of some type?

Which ones are you using right now? I bought some at my local radio shack for a couple of bucks each. They sell red, green and amber ones in 3 or 5 mm sizes ( I used the 3mm ones). Something like this one; http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2062548 They have other styles. If you want a blue one, you have to use another vender (I bought mine through DSE). I wonder how they are "blowing", is all of the wiring good?

Here is something I'm going to consider.

All of the wiring is new when I swapped the motor/instrument cluster, so it SHOULD be good. My dad, a huge help/source with the car, said to order the ones I want, and he'll test the resistance(I think) and figure out what resistor to put in-line to stop the problem.

I tried to just order the DSE ones, but their website doesn't work. I'll probably be giving them a call tomorrow.

X2!! Very nice stuff.

you need to run them through a resistor, probably getting too much voltage causing them to blow. They are designed to work on low voltage.

Heres a pic of the way we do them:

Painless has blue leds and they come with the resistor in the body of them, they are a bit pricey but they look good and directly wire in with no problems.

Mark,

Those look cool. Can you tell me what the lights are besides the L,R, High Beams please?

Thanks,
Bill
