Richard Barbara's 67 Camaro
HI reading through this in the members rides section it says the rear is narrowed. ANyone know the length flange to flange? I like the look of the rims in the back and hoping to see if I can get close to this look,

I don't know but I've seen his pics and it does have a GREAT stance to it.

I highly suggest that you set the wheels and tires in the car and measure flange to flange, all these cars are a little different. Looking back at my moser reciept, it says the axles were done at 26-5/16 33 spline with the big torino bearing. I think the overall flange to flange is 54", Ive got a 1/4 inch spacer on it to bring the wheels out a bit more to clear the leaf springs. There's plenty of room in the wheel house, the leafs are the problem. The wheels are budnik fontana's 17x11 with a 5.250 back space with 315s.
I cant wait to rip those leafs out(got to finish the red car first) and install a multi link design rear suspension. Although you guys like the stance on the car and I thank you for that, there is no adjustibility in it. Something with an adjustable coil over and you can dial in your stance any where you want it. BTW those are DSE 3 inch drop. For a leaf spring car it does handle pretty sweet(rides pretty stiff) Hope this helps - Rich |

Thanks- Yes it is an OEM sub, with the full DSE treatment solid body bushings frame connected, coil over relocation/koni's /600lb springs /hollow hotchkis bar. No problem with brakes fitting. I had the pbr style baer track up front with 13" rotors inside, 17x8w/4-7/8 back space and 245s(stock spindles/.8 deg neg camber/ 5.5deg positive caster). I switched up for the 6 pot wilwood superlites but only because the rear was a beotch clocking the Baer calipers with the integrated parking brake mechanism. I must have 3 sets of caliper brackets here trying to make that baer system fit properly, it always seemed to hit the leafs somewhere. Since the wilwood set up has the parking brake shoe's inside the rotor hat they worked out perfect, superlite 4 pots(love the hydraboost killer brakes).

What we mean is pick/purchase your wheel and tire combination first, then set them inside the rear wheel houses and measure across from mounting pad to mounting pad. Take into consideration the thickness of your rotor hats for final dimension. Rich |
