700r4 tranny pan drain plug????
 
does any 700r4 tranny pans have a drain plug in them, i got a 2wd 700r4 thanks.

Or can I put anything else in there that would work, if so how

GM 4L65E pan fits and should have a drain plug.

Ya dont tap it, the metal is too thin. Just drill a hole and use a drain with seals, easy on the seals, doesnt take much pressure to have them seal or deform and NOT seal.

Oh, but then again you might have used the word tap as in to give it a tap, a drain tap :)

But yeah, for the sheetmetal pans just remove it and drill the hole (de-burr also) for the drain "tap" and its really a great inexpensive mod. I have unfortunately had to use mine a few times working out some issues in the lower part of the trans. JR
