460 RHS engine build.. dyno tomorrow.
 

Ok.. so a few days of machine work at Nelson Racing followed by three days of building and I'm dynoing the 460 RHS engine tomorrow at Westech Performance.

Any guesses?

The 454 made 650 there and this one should make a bit more due to the better heads and a slight bump in compression (11.5:1)

It was a very detailed build, we flowed the Mast heads and then modded the valves to give more flow in the low to mid range area.. should be a torquie sucker. We weren't going to the "killer magazine number" but instead stayed with a hyd cam with a rather mild profile (touch bigger than the one in the 454).

247/263 .624 lift on a 114 LSA (installed at 110.5)

I'll guess it makes around 680 to 690. Which is an absurd amount of n/a horsepower!

In number terms...I'll say 700 hp. In word play...I'll say it'll fly like a bat out of hell!! By the way it is oh-so beautiful. May I ask, what cfm size throttle body are you using?

[OT]Out of curiosity are you still running the 21st Century headers? If so, you may run into issues with the oil filter adapter on the Autocraft pan. In my project, I had to make the output/input for the filter entirely within the adapter to get clearance for the number 7 tube on the headers. Because of the 114LC and worked heads, guess 670HP / 570TQ

Yep.. it's my "last" engine and it's been a long time in planning. although it might come out one more time for a revised oil pan I've been sketching and maybe to add the oil squirters.

But in all honesty.. this engine has all top shelf stuff.. no place to really improve.

You're torque is way low.. my 454 made 625 lb-ft :D
