1968 Camaro 335/30x18 with DSE stuff??

I have a 68 Camaro and just installed DSE tubs, quad and subframe connectors, but the 335 G force look like they will fit with the correct backspacing. Is there a thread out here that explains this?

Each installation is a little different. In my opinion, its not worth it, because you can't fit a big enough tire in the front to justify it, unless it is for looks only.

335 in a 68

We do 335s on 67 / 68s in our shop al the time, look at MotiV8r. But we know how to put the tubs in deep. Yours are installed relaxed. You need 14.5" to 14.75" to clear 335s on 12s. As Chris mentioned, 325s on a 11" rim are a nice fit but there are no 325 / 18s.

Frank said in this thread that if you put the tubs in deep, 335 will fit. What needs to be added and what backspacing?

Thanks Ken. I plan on using a dse front subframe too, but may wait and run the factory subframe. But can we get Baer brakes on the factory subframe and then change them to fit the DSE frame? I have the ford 9 from DSE with the Baer 6P brakes on the rear. I am just trying to get the tubs finished so we can get the wheels. I have purcahsed the 335s to see about fit, but it is tight. We have not finished welding the tubs yet, we also have to put the new rearend under the car and weld the final fitment.

And Yes, like most of us out here we like teh looks and the increase in traction. Probably mostly looks with most of us.

Only if you are running ATS spindles on the stock sub. DSE uses C6 uprights which is the same brake package for ATS spindles.

Thanks. I am torn if I want to rehab the stock subframe or just purchase DSE. I have Barr 6p on a DSE Ford 9. The stock subframe has discs already but not Barr

I have 14.625" with the DSE tubs in place. So looks l:D ike there is r:thumbsup: oom for the 335.
