Is anyone using a Keisler R/T 56?

Is anyone using a Keisler R/T 56, "Dogbox" Transmission?

If so, how you you like it?

What did you put it in?

I'm curious how long they last...

I was interested in one briefly, but decided it probably wasn't the right part for my intended application. Try searching on a few of the Corvette forums. I seem to remember a sponsor pushing the transmission kits, and I think few members might have posted feedback.

I had initially wanted the keisler kit, as for a while they were the only visible source of retrofit kits for the t--56

but now that I have looked around, there are many more sources, that are much cheaper, all you have to do is some research and legwork

Please point me to just one other dog-ring retrofit kit for the T56, there aren't "more sources."

I had a Liberty modified T56. It was outfitted with dog rings in gears 1-4. With respect to the driving experience it would be similar to the Keisler kit, although the Keisler kit will definitely handle more power, because my Liberty trans used stock gears. Here are my impressions from day one....

But none of them are dog-ring boxes, which is what the OP was asking about.

The only T-56 'dog ring' transmissions that are marketed here in the USA (and for the most part, available)... are the boxes from Rockland Standard and Keisler.

The Aussie's have a few as well... but they are only rated at around 500hp max... and run about $1k for a single rebuild, which happens more than anyone would want to run in a street chassis.

I'd also be interested in some feedback on the R/T-56. Haven't really heard much about it since it was released, especially now that Keisler is marketing their RS transmissions so heavily.
