New guy intro
Hey guys… I have a 1969 Camaro that I have had for 30 years. For 25 years it was bone stock. About five years ago I started doing some modifications. Rebuilt the engine (added some extra HP), new 17” wheels and tires, better brakes. Then I ran across the Pozzi Racing website and read about improving handling on the Gen 1’s and saw some videos of “The Bad Penny” Camaro. The next year I went to the SEMA show in Vegas for some business stuff. That was the first time I saw some really incredible Gen 1’s set up with modern suspension, brakes, and engines.
From then on I knew what I wanted to do with my car. Now 5 years later I have upgraded the chassis, brakes, steering, and engine, with modern components. Now the car drives like a new car, and handles great. 4 years ago I joined a local sports car club so I could learn how to drive, and get the car out on the track to see what it could do. Now I am hooked... I get out on the track a few times a year. It’s been a lot of fun… a great hobby. I joined LS1 Tech this past May and did an engine build project. There was a guy on there that pointed me here. I thought I might post up my build project on your "Project Update" page at some point. Anyway… I look forward to joining the Lat-G community, looks like the place for me! http://i1048.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3a062fda.jpg |
