Auto to t56 Swap cost for 1969 Camaro

Hello all,

I'm new to the site but have been lurking for some time now. I live in the bay area and would like to know of some of the better shops capable of swapping my th350 out for a T56 in my camaro. For those familiar with this, can you please chime in on final cost with/without supplied transmission and associated hardware.

Thanks again, great site by the way:thankyou:

I've actually been doing this sort of swap and here's my cost breakdown on parts only. I buy from the major parts warehouses like Summit, Jegs, and Streetside so you might be able to get a better price elsewhere but you may have delays. Also, you could probably save a decent chunk of change if you bought a complete kit from a single dealer instead of piecing things together like I have.

Tremec LS T-56 Magnum (includes $112 freight+handling charge), $3006
Shifter stick and ball for Tremec shifter, Hurst, Approximately, $110
Quicktime Bellhousing, RM-6023, $451
Block to bellhousing Dowels, 37932, $13
Offset Dowels(if necessary), $28
Centerforce DYAD Dual-disc clutch/flywheel, $1480
Hydraulic Throwout Bearing, lines, and bleeder kit, approx $320
Pilot Bearing(if needed), $12
Yoke - 31 spline, 1350 series, Moser TY800, $130
Electronic Speedo sending unit and proper gear, approx $50-$75
Transmission mount(TH400/T56), 3-1108G, $28
Crossmember - ATS/Speedtech T56 (price includes $37 shipping), ATS 080001, $407
Clutch Master Cylinder and mounting hardware, Keisler, $315
Pedal Assembly and hardware, Classic Industries, $100
Modo Pedal Covers for manual setup, Modo Innovations, $120
Driveshaft shortened, approx $100
Fluid for transmission, $20
DOT 4 fluid for hydraulics, $5

That's good bookkeeping Chris. Good info here.

Thanks, this was a VERY detailed answer lol. I do appreciate it. Looks like I'll be pulling out a loan or two to make this happen. Any reputable shops you all would suggest to take on this task?

Thanks again guys
