2nd Gen rear wheel Backspacing
I know not all 2nd gens are the same but what is a good starting place for rear wheel Backspacing on a non mini tubed 2nd gen? And for that matter what about the front? It will have a OE sub frame with tubular control arms. It's a 73 if that makes a difference.
I found a nice deal on a pair of 18x10 wheels but not sure if they will work at either end? |
Check with Marty/SyborgTT,I believe he has a stock 10 bolt in his 2nd gen.

Is your car Mini-Tubbed or Stock Wheel Wells My wheels are 5.75 Front - 18 x 8 (255 35 18 ) 6.75 Rear - 18 x 10 (295 35 18 ) ps - Also have a set of drop spindles & blocks if you want them |
Not to make things confusing but I have 18x8 and 18x10s with 4.5 BS and 5.5 BS. fits pretty good. No rubbing.

If you were running a 19" up front you might be able to put a 10" wide rim. However you would have some turning radius issue's Give Keith at Custom Works Products ( www.customworksproducts.com ) a call he regularly beats the snot out of his 2nd gen and he is a speed tech dealer. |
