Issue with my welder, need input
As the title says, I'm having issues with my welder and trying to figure out how to fix it without sending it to the repair shop. It's a Miller 180 mig that is 3 or 4 years old. Today, when I flipped the switch to turn it on, it sounded like normal. The fan came on and it powered up. When I pulled the trigger though, nothing. Not a click or anything. If I bent the hose on an angle right below the gun, it would work again. Sometimes it would work for a while, other times I had to keep the hose bent to keep the wire feeding. Any thoughts?

Wires from the trigger are most likely the issue. Tear into it if you can and inspect them. Miller's website should have a pdf with an exploded view of the gun.

Yup millers site will have the diagram of what you will need! Like Sieg said it sounds like from all the twists and turns when welding have messed up the wiring??

Mine is a little older than yours and I have had to replace the trigger already.

Thanks for the advice guys. Took the gun apart today and put it back together. Everything looked fine. Tried it again and now it works fine. Strange but I'm happy it's working again.
