ATX spindles vs stock A-body -weight difference
Hello All,
I am completing a final update of my 72 GS by adding tall ATX spindles I have had in the box for a while. Other than the geometry change improvements, they are made from aluminum, and are lighter. I thought everyone might want to know just how much lighter. The smaller numbers on the scale are pounds, the larger ones are kilograms. http://<a href="http://s1349.photobu...ps8d3fa333.jpg[/IMG] http://<a href="http://s1349.photobu...psedc1852d.jpg[/IMG] Just over a pound of difference. Both have the respective steering arms included. Note that the ATX spindle has long studs, and the stock spindle has a Kore3 aluminum hub/short studs, so maybe there will be a bit more weight savings without those factors. I have taken some other measurements, if anyone would like any other details of the differences. |
Jeff,im running the stock spindles tall ubj, lbj, and the kore3 brackets.would you be willing to sell the hubs?i still have the cast iron turn down hubs.phil
